Starting today SPAN is rolling out a new version of the SPAN Home app for homeowners with SPAN Edge or smart panels with 16, 24, 40, or 48 breaker-space panels — both SPAN and Eaton Smart Panels. It's been updated with a new home screen, breaker-level energy cost analysis, and meaningful performance improvements, making it simpler than ever to understand your home's energy — including what it actually costs, circuit by circuit.

If you have a SPAN Panel MAIN 32, this change doesn't impact your system and no action is required. Keep using your current app for the same great experience.

What's new

• Updated home screen. Get clearer visibility into your home's energy with a layout that puts controls front and center.
• Breaker-level energy cost analysis. Add your utility rate plan* and the app translates your energy use into dollars — down to the circuit level — so you can see what's driving your bill.
• Meaningful performance improvements. Many interactions in the app will feel noticeably faster, and we hope to roll out new features faster in the future too.

How to make the switch

The new SPAN Home app will start rolling out today; here's what you need to know:

• Today: The new app becomes available in the App Store and Google Play. Visit span.io/app to download directly.
• Starting next week: We'll email you a direct download link to make it easy to update. Sign in with the same account you use today.
• Through December 1, 2026: You can switch back and forth between the current and new app freely as you get familiar with the new app.
• After December 1, 2026: You'll be signed out of the SPAN Home - for 32 version. If you open that app by mistake, a quick message will direct you to the correct version.

After you make the switch to the new app, you can safely delete the prior SPAN app. Your energy data is safe in the cloud.

Finding the new app

The new app will appear in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store as "SPAN Home — for 16, 24, 40, 48, Edge." You can always find the right link at span.io/app.
