Over the last 12 months, SPAN unveiled new product models, including the category-defining “at-the-meter” SPAN Edge, earned a first-of-its-kind safety certification, and publicized important partnerships with industry leaders like PG&E and Landis+Gyr. Today’s announcement of a strategic partnership with Eaton not only continues to build on these critical milestones, but accelerates the energy future we are all envisioning.

The partnership includes a $75 million investment from Eaton and a plan to increase distribution and to co-develop innovative products. By aligning with intelligent power management company Eaton, SPAN will further enable affordable electrification.

The biggest takeaways from the announcement include:

• Expanded distribution: Together, the companies will bring to market smart electrical panels that provide whole-home energy insights and advanced power controls. Eaton will feature SPAN Energy Intelligence™ technology at scale in its new smart panel offer. This will  expand our distribution and installer network reach, making our best-in-class electrification solutions accessible to so many more home builders and residential electricians.
• Advanced technology: Eaton is trusted to manage power from the grid to the receptacle.  Together, we will transform how power is managed in homes.
• More affordable energy: A core goal is to drive down costs for consumers as they adopt batteries, EV charging, and other home electrification solutions. We’re breaking down barriers to electrification.

Co-branded panels will integrate Eaton’s advanced circuit and surge protection technologies for enhanced safety, reliability and control. This will lead to more flexible and lower-cost installations for everyone. The joint solutions will be available to order starting in Q2 of 2026, but of course, existing products from both companies are available for purchase today.
