SPAN + Connecticut IES Program

SPAN + Connecticut IES Program
Upgrade your home with SPAN for $0
Connecticut customers of either United Illuminating (UI) or Eversource can electrify smarter through the Innovative Energy Solutions (IES) program. Connecticut is funding a statewide program to modernize homes with clean-energy technology—helping residents save energy, cut costs, and prepare
for the future.
Qualified homeowners can receive a fully installed electrification bundle at zero cost,  including:

SPAN Smart Electrical Panel (Main 32)

Replaces your existing panel and gives you app-based control and real-time energy insights

Mitsubishi Electric Trane Heat Pump(optional)

Provides efficient heating and cooling year-round

SPAN Drive EV Charger (optional)

Level 2 smart charger that adapts
to your home’s available power
Note: All eligible projects under this program must include a SPAN Panel Main 32 as part of the installation scope. Projects may also include a SPAN Drive and/or Mitsubishi Heat Pump,  depending on the site and program budget.

About the program

This initiative is part of Connecticut’s Innovative Energy Solutions (IES) program, designed
to build a more reliable, affordable, and sustainable electric grid.

Program funding is limited. Participation is available based on Environmental Justice Communities and while funds remain. Installers will manage paperwork and program management in  coordination with SPAN. Homeowners must be customers of United Illuminating (UI) or Eversource.

Note: Program participation and funding are subject to available program resources and utility approval. All eligible projects must include a SPAN Panel Main 32. Work unrelated to the covered  electrification bundle — such as additional electrical, structural, or aesthetic upgrades — may not be  included.
